Meals on Wheels Drivers

Are you interested in helping to provide one of the most critical direct services to elderly, frail or homebound individuals in our communities?

YCCOA is always in need of Meals on Wheels drivers, particularly in Billings. Drivers meet at the South Park Senior Center at 901 S. 30th Street Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Each route takes between a hour to an hour and a half to complete with each driver delivering eight to twelve hot meals. Many drivers bring along a rider for assistance.

Besides providing a hot, well-balanced meal, Meals on Wheels drivers also provide socialization for these homebound seniors. The MOW driver may be the only person a program participant sees during the day.

Drivers may volunteer daily, once a week, twice a month or serve as an on-call substitute. Mileage is reimbursed or mileage may be donated for a tax deduction.

Businesses and organizations may provide drivers for as many days a week as desired.
